Counselling can help anyone no matter the situation. Speaking your truth with a trained, skilled therapist can be the push you need to set you on the path to healing your life. Your therapists' goal is to listen to you in a non-judgemental way and help you find your way to healing through proven techniques that will leave you feeling happy and whole again.
Counselling will help you understand yourself more. It will show you how your past experiences have shaped who you are today and guide you towards a whole and healthy future. Depending on your goals and wishes for your healthy life, talking through your feelings will help you make decisions to set you on the right path.
Virtual counselling has many benefits! Many people need specialized counselling services but they are unable to leave their home and responsibilities such as children, work and dependants to access services. Virtual counselling works around people's schedule and responsibilities and therefore is way more accessible. Many people have mental blockages to therapy and social anxieties that do not lend well to going to a therapist's office downtown. Virtual therapy is done in the comfort of your own home and relieves much of the pressures surrounding counselling. Another advantage to virtual therapy is that many people find it easier to use technology to engage in therapy. Many people find it easier to share deep dark secrets and feelings by telephone without staring into a therapist's eyes.
For your first appointment, your counsellor will get information from you such as your background, your experiences and vision for your healing. Your therapist will discuss therapy options for you depending on your situation, your goals and your hopes. You'll be able to ask any question you have about your treatment plan.
